The Ontario Ministry of Health has two programs called the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) and Home Oxygen Program (HOP). These programs help to provide compressors, percussors, postural drainage boards, and oxygen equipment to people with CF. Generally, ADP will cover 75% of the vendor's selling price up to a set maximum amount. The remaining portion of the costs not covered by ADP may be covered if you have a private health insurance plan. Equipment is ordered though local medical supply companies. If you are receiving benefits from Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD), the equipment vendor may be able to work with you to reduce your portion of the cost. If your equipment is no longer working and can not be fixed, ADP can help with the cost of replacing this equipment based on a replacement period of 2-5 years.
