Nutritional Supplements

The Ontario government covers the cost of nutritional supplements for people with CF. You will first need to register with your clinic dietitian at St.Michael's hospital to be a part of the program. The products are then ordered through and picked up at the Specialty Food Shop at the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children.

Procedure for Ordering:

 

- On your first visit, bring your St. Michael’s Hospital ID card and register your name with the Specialty Food Shop

 

- NOTE: If ordering large quantities (more than 5 cases of one product), please call at least one week

ahead to ensure your order will be in stock

 

Shopping by phone (for home delivery):

 

- Call toll free 1-800-737-7976 – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

 

- Provide representative with your name, address and phone number

 

- Payments for shipping can be made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Money Order

 

Location: Sick Kids Hospital – 555 University Ave

 

- From St. Michael's Hospital, head west on Queen St. until University Ave.

 

- Go north on University Ave. (about 2 blocks) until #555 on the east side

 

- If you are driving, turn right at Elm Street (first traffic light) for parking on the street or in the hospital parking lot

 

- The Specialty Food Shop is located on “Main Street” in the hospital (on the main floor)

 

Store Hours of Operation:

- Monday-Friday: 7:30 am – 7:00 pm

- Saturday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

- Sunday: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
